Well said!
FR has become almost unreadable to me over the last month. As a Cruz guy, I like Trump and what he has done, and I can see reasons why a rational conservative might prefer him to Cruz. But this infantile nonsense of calling Cruz an establishment guy, after he became a pariah in the Senate, is patently ridiculous. And the maniacal fascination with Mrs. Cruz’ former association with GS, while ignoring Trump’s former associations, is hats-on-backwards stupid.
Having said that, I don’t fear a Trump presidency, and would crawl over broken glass to vote for him over Hillary. My fear is that the opposition Trump has faced so far, rather disjointed and half-hearted attacks until recently, is nothing like what he will face in the general when he goes against a united Democrat party/MSM machine. Hopefully he will beat Hillary like a rented mule, but I am far less sanguine than the Trumpbois here.
“this infantile nonsense of calling Cruz an establishment guy”
I used to agree with you that it was infantile - until I read that Cruz said, last night, that if he gets out of the race, he’d fall in with Rubio. Talk about gold-plated establishment.
“But this infantile nonsense of calling Cruz an establishment guy, after he became a pariah in the Senate, is patently ridiculous.”
Actually Cruz ASKED FOR IT, by essentially endorsing Rubio. Before that, at worst, we figured he was being used by the Establishment to take Trump down (after all, no one else has a prayer of doing that).
He really shouldn’t have done that Rubio thing, and if he apologizes (to us, not Trump), I’ll side with you and tell us Trumpers to cool it regarding ‘establishment’ links for Cruz, because you are right.
Cruz supporters consider everything that Trump has said and done since he was a child to be fair game, but yet they consider Cruz's deep involvement with the Bush II administration and his wife's deep involvement with Goldman-Sachs to be irrelevant.
Yes, that's a good way to exemplify "hypocrisy".

Rest assured in the fact that the American people in poll after poll rank the trustworthiness of the media lower than rattlesnakes, used car salesmen and politicians. The seditious media simply doesn’t have the power of persuasion it had 50 years ago. It’s a new ballgame.
