Must be from a lib site. Typically only libs talk about oil companies as if they are evil.
Definitely not a negative. I would definitely take all the money I could from one of the strongest sectors in our economy that employs (with the natural gas industry) over 9 million Americans.
I’d like to see the money Big Oil is spending with sub $ 30.00 oil, laying off thousands.
So you want Ted to be on the take from big oil?
Of course you don’t. LOL
Big Oil: “Hmm. Whom should we bribe now that Bush has gone down the drain?”
Of course you don’t. Because you don’t have a problem with your candidate being owned by any special interest group.
I want my candidate to look at the entirety of a situation and do what’s best for the American people.
I don’t want a candidate that’ll allow oil interests to cover up safety violations and the deaths of their workers.

We need a balance and a ‘bought’ candidate will always favor their donors. They cannot be impartial or fair or just.
Cruz is the establishment GOP of choice for the industry. Not for me.
Are you a tree-hugger?
Does this mean I won’t get anymore letter telling me how upset Heidi is and begging me for $5?
False dichotomy. There’s no reason a candidate that supports free markets and reductions in massive regulations designed to hinder the real energy industry while taking their $100 million a day in revenue to prop up high priced unreliable alternatives that cost consumers more..wouldn’t take the money for their campaign.
I’ll gladly debate anyone over supporting the oil and natural gas industry, which is America’s largest employer except for the millions of bureaucrats working for the federal government.
Ted Cruz opposes any type of corporate welfare and considering that you have left wing politicians actively working against the entire industry..there’s an obvious reason to contribute to candidates that will oppose the destructive regulations and job killing schemes imposed upon them. If you want talk “safety violations” and accidents...let’s debate.
Its the Trump effect..they’ll move left on energy issues like they’re moving left on healthcare, Planned Parenthood, and foreign policy. Energy is one of my favorite issues so I welcome the challenge to debate.
If that’s the case, then what’s Cruz saying to the oil donors behind closed doors to get them to toss the big bucks their way?
Could it be that he’s going to keep up oil subsidies?
What promises has he made?
We don’t know. We’ll never know.
All we know is that the oil companies are buying *something* from Ted Cruz.
I think he should stand up to the cartel, you know. He’s supposed to be consistent.
Only Trump's money is good. Everybody else's money is bad, bad, bad.
Yeah, I’ve heard that.
I’ll challenge you on the claim that the oil industry receives any form of subsidies. No, Ted Cruz’ position on ending mandates plus forced subsidizing for unreliable and expensive alternatives leaves a free market to compete in..that’s a logical choice. You sound like a leftist...there is an ideological war on oil, natural gas and coal. A modern economy cannot function, our daily lives couldn’t function, without that energy and you should support a free market that makes that energy cheap and abundant.
