Cruz aside, were Rubio’s parents naturalized citizens at the time of Marco’s birth or were they citizens of Cuba? I never hear it discussed much other than his dad may have become a citizen some 4 years after Rubio was born but nothing about his mother. He meets the qualifiers for Congress, but the presidency?

I’m not sure how I feel about electing first-generation candidates with dual citizenship from non-citizen immigrant parentage. How can any of them understand the depth of American heritage? Zero sure doesn’t. Neither does Haley. Will we be dealing with Chinese nationals or arab nationals or (God help us) Aaa-nold in 4 years? It’s confusing.
