I’ll write in Cruz if necessary, and feel good about it. However, our country reelected Obama and is ready to pick Bernie Sanders as a favorite. We’re not turning this ship around at the ballot box. It is a good time to be old, and, of course, “we live in interesting times”.

Chiming in from the peanut gallery, Einstein’s quote comes to mind:
“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it ... he who doesn’t ... pays it.”
which brings us to the Federal debt. And so while we can’t say exactly when our republic will fall, we can do the math and confidently predict that we can’t keep spending indefinitely, and the problem will come to a head much quicker than one might think, because of compounded interest.
