The La Crosse County GOP caucus held on Saturday revealed a majority of party members favor Ted Cruz as their top choice for the Republican Presidential Nominee.
The straw poll is the first of the county's to show Cruz in the lead, as previous polls showed Marco Rubio near the top.
Ted Cruz captured 28 percent of the vote, while Marco Rubio and Donald Trump each had 24 percent support.
Ben Carson and Jeb Bush both collected 8 percent of the vote and Rand Paul and Carly Fiorina rounded out the group with 4 percent of the vote each.
No additional votes were cast for any of the remaining candidates.
The Iowa Caucuses begin February 1.
Paul Ryan country. They keep electing traitors
Wow! This was really great of you to find for us at 3am.
Rubio was at the top last time.
When you try and get any information on this, there’s nothing. We don’t know how many people showed up and cast ballots.
All we know is that we have this little county in the middle of Wisconsin, with over 100,000 people, who will now find itself inundated with media to explain the results.
IN short, this poll is meaningless.
WEll guess what? Last night during the NFC game, we did a straw poll at the Brickhouse Pizza Sports Bar & Grill in Troup County, GA. Population about the same. Trump had 80 % with Cruz 5% Rubio 4%.
Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals:
5.”Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
That straw poll is meaningless.
Then it shouldn’t bother you.
It doesn’t. What does amuse me, are the negative Trump posts at 3 and 4 AM every day. Kinda like the alcoholic who needs his eye opener. I notice the same people. They crawl out of bed, go right to the computer and scour for a negative article on Trump. It’s like an addiction. NOthing posted is ever thought provoking...it’s predictably Anti-Trump. Here you post a straw poll from an average size county in rural Wisconsin, that give no numbers. For all we know, fifty people showed up. I’m from Chicago and I happen to know this area. It’s mainly democrat and 95% white, not many minorities which surprises me that Cruz and Rubio do so well there. Although the republicans are very much pro Walker, so maybe this is a back lash against Trump. Who knows. Is it a microcosm of the United States? Who knows. Would be nice to know more of its history.
Not too many years ago La Crosse was a big union town. Many of the companies are no longer in business and their union people have all be disappeared. Just saying..........
I think it still is. I would think, not sure, but you might have more democrats in Wisconsin for Trump than for Hillary.
I think, I’m going to take a straw poll this week. And call it the Troup Co, GA straw poll, and then post the results.
Trump loves polls, so maybe he’ll talk about it.
Maybe I’ll take the poll this morning.
