Cruz: 2012 Disclosure Should Have Noted Goldman Sachs Loan
The Texas Tribune ^ | 1/13/16 | Patrick Svitek

DORCHESTER, S.C. - Responding to a report that said he did not disclose a loan from his wife's employer during his 2012 U.S. Senate campaign, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz called the issue a "technical and inadvertent filing error" that he will fix if necessary.

Come on, Naps. Read #113. You’re probably the only non-Cruz supporter in this entire thread that I think still has some capacity to reason and think this through.

I remember you from 2012. If I can recall, you went through the same list of candidates that I and CC did and watched each one of them get shot down: Bachmann, Cain, maybe Perry, and finally settling on Santorum as a last ditch effort that failed after Santorum had a poor debate performance leading up to the AZ/MI Primaries.

Do you remember the type of crap the Newt people use to post to sling at Santorum that essentially kept the race from becoming a 1-on-1 and allowed Romney to rack up delegates because Newt wouldn’t get out? Stuff like this is exactly the same thing.

I’m sorry Walker didn’t make it through the gauntlet. I had nothing against him and didn’t view him as a RINO like a lot of folks (i.e. TRUMPSTERS) made him out to be. I just saw Cruz as a better option. And if you liked the same candidates we did from 2012, I honestly cannot see what your beef is with Cruz or why he comes off as a fake to you. He’s a better candidate than Santorum, Cain, Bachmann, and Perry combined and pretty much carries the same positions for the most part.

Cruz didn’t forget the loan. It was disclosed to the public in his primary run against Dewhurst. It was missed on the FEC report which is an oversight but in no way was the information hidden from the public.

https://twitter.com/kerpen/status/687461435522285568

This is no different than what was going on in 2012. Remember when Santorum tried to use the word “tragedy” during the Trayvon Martin investigation and people here ate him alive for “passing judgement”. Or how about when you couldn’t say the name Michele Bachmann without some Palinista yelling “Ed Rollins” in an effort that was meant to knock Bachmann down in the event Sarah got in, which never happened.

Articles like these is the same type of crap. They’re trying to take down the only decent conservative in the race. Don’t fall for it. You might have some beefs with some of the other Cruz supporters, but look at what we’re dealing with? Cruz supporters post fact after fact and research and do their homework while Trumpsters just run their mouth and try to find every hit piece they can whether it’s true or not. The link to the Public Disclosure report has been posted in this thread (including this post) almost 6 times now. And not one single Trumpster has had the decency to admit they were wrong when they accused Ted of hiding the information. Nope, they just move the goalpost and now they say it doesn’t matter since it wasn’t in the FEC report.

Perhaps, but I wouldn’t count on it. Teddy is doing a fine job imploding on his own. Trump doesn’t need to do a full-on assault..

I’m disappointed in him. I thought Cruz was the “real deal”. Yes, I’m a “noob” but no troll - so save your breath (or typing speed).

In a way, we're all noobs.

Cruz is like hillary in the way that the more you know and hear, the less you like. His Goldman-Sux, CFR wifee connection has just gotten much worse. The natural born citizen problem is real, no matter how many say it isn't. And where ted has a low general election ceiling with independents and democraps, Trump does not.

I admire the way Cruz outed the senate GOPe tricksters, and we owe him a debt of gratitude for that. But he doesn't have the balls Trump has, possibly due to the debt owed his financiers.

“All while we should be spending time taking about conservative issues and persuading the American people that the left is WRONG!”

I agree. But I didn’t make anything up. If Trump only had 3 deals in his life and all were bankruptcies, how is his company worth so much or doing $9.7B a year in business?

But... back to the correct subject - A Cruz supporter was the first to attack Trump supporters on post #3. Before any Trump supporter said anything worth insulting. That started the ball rolling. When I see unprovoked attacks, I get riled up. If it was provoked, I would’ve moved in - I just wanted to read what the story was about.

I’m not all that against Cruz, just his obnoxious supporters here. They get so defensive - and are incredibly rude to us - that I like to mess with them.

You tend to be more on the rational side. Most of the time ;)

It hasn’t been challenged yet as the challenege is in its infancy. he’s not a NBC. he’s not eligible. you aren’t going to marginalize this away.

I understand. It does work both ways, keep in mind. An arrow in your own gut is far more noticeable than an arrow in that other guy’s gut. LOL. We’re all human. Hope we survive this.

Neither loan appears in reports that Cruzs campaign committee filed with the Federal Election Commission. Candidates must note sources of money they borrow for their campaigns. Question not innuendo. Did he repay the loan with his own money or making payments? Article didn’t say. Nice try working the Trump bash in to a logical question though.

Well you are right. I have tried soooooooo hard to want to support Cruz. I really have. I don't know what it is about him that makes me uneasy to support. Perhaps we may find out. I am not sure. Anyway, obviously he gets my vote regardless in the general. As of right now, Trump is getting my support only because I am sick of weak leaders in office. I mean I did support Bush but looking back he was strong on getting us to war but extremely weak on implementing the war which screwed us in the end and resulted in 8 years of hell. I want a scorched Earth President. One who will knock heads if need be. I want a son of a B. I want a President who could care less what the media thinks or says. I want a candidate who refuses to apologize no matter what. I think right now Trump is that person.

I wasn’t thinking of Trump. I expect Rubio, Bush, or even Christie to go after Cruz. Rubio would be my first guess who uses this.

When you think of how many recent Presidents have been lawyers, it’s amazing people would consider another one.

Oh, but this one is going to be different...

I’m not. I think most of us have pretty much made up our minds.

At this point, it’s all petty squabbling.

He has dropped the mask, now.
When he was running for the Senate, that mask was tightly glued on.

Good to see Jodipchit circle jerking with the rest of the desperate Trumpbots attacking Cruz on non-issues.

If you don't call being financed by Golgman Sachs and failing to report that, or forgetting that you are a Canadian Citizen valid issues. Then add the fact that Cruz is supposed to be one of the great Constitutional lawyers in the country, and that is still not an issue. I'm wondering if there is anything that would an issue for Cruz in your mind. Maybe have some more cool-aid.
