It’s odd because when the House members followed Cruz’s lead, they performed at their best - both electorally and popularity with their voters. Whatever Cruz’s success in terms of electoral votes, he would be a net positive for House GOP members who would get the base out at high levels. One can differ on Senate races results and electoral results of the more conservative candidate, but House races are a radically different animal.
