I can’t seem to get Trump supporters to answer a question, maybe you’ll be so kind.

Do you see any flaws in Trump?

Do you see any flaws in Trump?

I am a Trump supporter and I am very kind, so to answer your question: Yes, I do see many many flaws in Trump.

Trump is bombastic. He is grandiose. He craves the spotlight. He seeks attention and usually gets it. He is, of now, not well versed in Conservative principles, but if you watch him often, you can discern he is learning them, and what's more important, will never be afraid to voice them publicly and often.

There is a 25-year old video out there showing Trump talking about exactly what he is talking about today. When he believes, he proclaims it. When he believes, he puts up his own money, his own life, and stands on his honor. Which has cost him dearly already and the election isn't even here yet. When you compare Ted Cruz vids for one year you find many alterations, much double speak, and evasion of a lot of difficult questions.

This is why I can overlook all of the above flaws in Trump, (and probably many others, in your estimation): This country is tired. This country has been beaten into within an inch of its life these past 8 years. As conservatives, we are exhausted, we are despondent, we have no real leaders, yet, we keep on struggling. We keep looking to the horizon for someone to lead us, inspire us, someone to trust.

A Ted Cruz presidency would be grim. Everything would be a battle, a lecture, and everyone would be an enemy. When it comes down to it, we would simply have another politician in office. I believe you can stand fast to your principles without being rigid and unwelcoming. I believe you can smile and wage war.

And finally, here's a good laugh for you: I support Donald Trump because he makes me smile. He makes me laugh and look forward to the day. In the last election, I supported Newt and I dreaded what each new day would bring. We need to laugh and to dream again. I know Ted Cruz has waged many noble battles for the Constitution in Court and reminds us everyday what the Constitution stands for, and that is very important.

But I truly believe what this country needs right now is to be inspired. We need to believe we can be more than we are. We need to believe we can reclaim our miracle. Trump is no policy wonk, he doesn't have statistics at his fingertips, but I know this: he will fight. He will do what he says. He won't follow his immigration stance with a disclaimer: We can have a conversation once the wall is built.

For good or bad, Trump is his own man. He is not owned. What he lacks in details he makes up for in vision. Trump inspires. Do you really think Diamond and Silk - and many others like them - would ever support someone like Cruz? Trump appeals to more than the usual demograph. He is a man of vision and I have read what happens to the people when there is no vision.

Flame away.

Godspeed Donald Trump.

yea— i have a lot of issues with Trump— he can spend too much energy on petty things-— he can be inarticulate with his criticisms of other candidates-— and inarticulate with criticism of other people... he makes general pronouncements, such as banning all Muslim immigrants even though he has to know in reality that policy is not practical— those are a few...
