The ultra conservatives help the Democrats win every election by being too pure to vote for a centrist when there really is no other viable choice. It is a kind of self-righteousness that is deplorable. Jesus gave us all permission to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's -- we're not electing a pope or a chaplain; we're electing a business leader, commander-in-chief and coach.
