That was like in 1972 when ultra liberal Sen McGovern ran against Nixon

Nixon won all states except Mass. which went to McGovern who lived in So. Dakota.

Sanders won't win, but he would carry more states than McGovern (or Mondale).

It's a different country now than it was back then.

Sanders is the number one pick for 20 year old hipster chicks and you gotta respect their decades of knowledge and experience that with the glories of the internet you can view for yourself with multitudes of “man on the street” type interviews. Those snowflakes are just founts of knowledge.

"It's a different country now than it was back then."

It sure is different now, but for me it started in the election of 1992 when I thought there was no way the American people would elect a pot smoking, draft dodging Arkansas hillbilly to the Presidency, but they did anyway.

But the real surprise came in 2008 when they elected a homosexual, Kenyan Communist to the Presidency and showed me I didn't know the American people at all.

Nothing the American people can do in Election of 2016 will surprise me.
