Translating a personality-driven campaign to the voting booth is no easy feat, especially for a candidate who has never run before.

Gees! They admit they can't do it, but they're going to do it anyway! This is exactly what's wrong with the MSM today. They are not content in reporting the news, they first need to "translate" it to fit their perception of what it should be in their eyes. The NYT and most other papers are now one huge editorial page rather than simply reporting the news. This is exactly why I dropped my subscription: The implication is that the reader isn't smart enough to draw their own conclusions from the facts because it may not agree with their perception of the facts. And they wonder why they are losing subscribers.

Funny how The Slimes never expressed that concern about Obama’s personality-driven campaign. Perhaps the rule of personality translation difficulty doesn’t apply to affirmative action candidates.
