I still think Trump is a loose cannon and could be really dangerous as regards national security. I will vote for him if he wins the nomination, but only if he has the stabilizing force of a Cruz VP.
Trump has no record in public policy making, but he has done an about face on many issues as far as his past positions. People are supporting him on blind faith. I hope it is not misplaced.
If you read the website “On the Issues” or read some of his books like “Time to Get Tough”, you will see his positions have remained the same for decades, other than some like abortion, which have changed over time. He is not a loose cannon; he says what he says and how with control. People just aren’t used to a non-shit sandwich eating R politician.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I completely disagree with yours, regarding Trump.
I happen to be of the opinion that my Senator Cruz is weak on experience. As a junior Senator running for President (we’ve already been there, done that) I’d like to see him get a few more years of sponsoring legislation that might actually get passed, under a Trump administration. Then maybe move on to AG or SCOTUS.
I also don’t want ANOTHER career politician/government employee.....who has NEVER had to cover (be personally responsible for) a payroll, or any other business expertise. Trump employs thousands, worldwide, has had to negotiate multimillion/billion $$ contracts here and internationally.
I trust Trump’s business expertise...and the fact that he’s put everything he’s worked his life for...on the table, at risk, to stop the destruction of this nation.
I’m tired of ‘policy makers’ deciding what’s best for me and my hard earned income.
I guess in your book, those who supported Reagan (who had managerial and solid business experience, btw) did so in blind faith.
Trusting a junior Senator...who’s only experience is being a politician or a government employee, and who has ‘done an about face on past positions’, is putting blind faith to the ultimate test.
