Or, like Australia, not ‘seize’ or ‘take’ your guns, but make them virtually USELESS for self-defense, as you’d face ten times as much jail time as your attacker for still having them.
At that point they offer a “no-questions-ask” buy-back and the vast majority of people simply want to forget that they were ever permitted to own them in the first place.
So, as Hillary states, it’s not that the government there took your guns, it’s that they left you with no option to hand them in yourself.
