Ben Carson’s unusual theory about pyramids
NAPLES, Florida — Ben Carson stood by his long-held belief about ancient pyramids in Egypt, that they were used to store grain, rather than to inter pharaohs.
Asked about this Wednesday, Carson told CBS News, “It’s still my belief, yes.”
The subject came up when Buzzfeed published a 1998 commencement speech delivered by Carson at Andrews University, a college founded by Seventh-day Adventists.
“My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,” Carson said. “Now all the archeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don’t think it’d just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain.”

Does anyone know what that sentence means?
1. The pyramids took how long to build; decades?
2. Joseph had 7 years of plenty, starting from Day-1 to store up grain; not merely build the storage facilities in which to do it.
3. The pyramids are basically just humongous rockpiles with a few secret passages and small chambers deep inside them. I can’t think of a more inefficient or unhandy structure in which to store grain, or anything else.
I want to like this guy, out of respect for his surgical skills, etc. But it’s looking to me like, when he steps outside the OR, he becomes a numbskull.
TRUMP 2016.
