Cruz poll numbers have remained low, havent really grown. A true candidate of the religious conservative base, but lacks ability to draw others in party. Certainly wont get any democrat crossover votes, infact dems will probably show up to vote to keep him from winning the general election. I think they would be afraid of a Cruz administration.
No Democrat will cross the line to vote Republican. Hells Bells, Republicans have a challenge to vote Republican in this day and age. And, if you thought about it, that statement is the TRUTH. Voting Conservative over the liberal/progressive is a choice But in order to bring in the opposition party’s votes one must teach what Conservatism actually involves. Sen. Ted is working on that which takes time. After all he won by being a member of the Republican party - even with renegade status...He is STILL Republican, which may be the reason of his difficulty to rise in the ‘polls’ (so tired of these polls!!) The Republican brand is no one’s friend Republican is no longer Conservative and most folks know it. NOW most need to be taught what Conservative actually means and that definition is a far cry from the Republican party’s message.
Hope this makes some sense, it’s late and the mind is in jumbles at the moment. In essence, perhaps a third STRONG party will be the answer to any Republicans who still carry a fading brand.
