Although Romney is a hugely successful person who understands business, he is dumb when it comes to running a political campaign. He is all wrong regarding minorities - to court them would gain hardly any votes but would fail to energize the base.

Romney should have learned from McCain's loss. McCain courted the Hispanics and illegals far more extensively than Obama, had special meetings with them, called them "God's children" or some other nonsense. Yet still they voted for Obama. McCain, like Romney, failed to inspire their base, and many who would have voted Republican stayed home.

Romney's own poorly run campaign should reveal that he is not the one to give advice. Romney even went out of his way to alienate voters in South, with his unnecessary attack on the Confederate flag.

In June, Romney said on Meet the Press that his biggest mistake in 2012 was not connecting minority voters with conservative policies, and he encouraged current candidates to prioritize reaching out to these populations....

This is a very dumb statement. Is Mitt telling the pubbies to promise free stuff to minorities? How else does one "reach out"? These people aren't qualified to run the remote for the TV.
