What Plain Folks Want
7/6/15 | Robert W Hamilton Jr.

Once again, the Republican Party shows its penchant for the circular firing squad. Instead of supporting and praising Donald Trump for articulating what is a fact of life in America today, one that they all know is true but don’t have the stomach to admit, they have chosen to throw him under the bus. In their eagerness to distance themselves from Mr. Trump for being so politically incorrect, the Party will again throw away an opportunity to put a real leader into the bid for the White House. If Mr. Priebus thinks he’s going to win an election by force-feeding Jeb Bush down our throats, he has another thing coming. If any voter who voted for a Republican in the last congressional election cycle thinks they are getting their vote’s worth, I would ask you to please think again. Once you review the ledger sheet of campaign promises vs. in-office actions, you’ll quickly realize that this failure to truly represent their constituency reverberates through the entire GOP, up to and including the RNC, with few exceptions. The lack of leadership and statesmanship in either house of congress is beyond the pale. Instead of bashing the likes of Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, these and men of like mind should be championed for their diligent defense of the Constitution. On the contrary, Marco Rubio gets thrown out there to whine about how Donald Trump’s dividing the country. What plain folks want is someone who has the courage to articulate an accurate assessment of what is going on in our country, the vision to lay out a simple, Constitution-guided, common-sense solution to problems, and the strength of will to carry out that vision. What plain folks want is someone who won’t fold in the face of, and will in fact repudiate and ultimately root out political correctness in our society. What plain folks don’t want is what we have now: Spineless liars that run through the halls of Congress, leftist agenda drivers hiding in the rooms of the White House and its Departments, and the arrogance of the Aristocracy permeating the chambers of the Supreme Court. It’s a trifecta of Corruption. Plain folks are sick and tired of it. Plain folks want more Donald Trumps, more Ted Cruzes, more Rand Pauls, more Jacob Javitzes, and more Jeff Duncans. Men who are not afraid to say what is politically incorrect, and stand by their words, follow through with actions on behalf of the people they represent; these are what Plain Folks want. What they don’t want is the Republican Party.

Say, that reminds me. I don't know if you like the whole Batman scene, but if you do and enjoy satire... you'll really like this.

The Supreme Court banned paragraphs as a form of microagression.
