Have to get to the bottom of the article to find that. When you've got 15 or so candidates and nobody wants to back out, you can't really blame that on the party elite.
I was talking to my wife about the number of folks with their hat in the ring. My wonderment is how some of them think they’ll even get on the radar of most people...I mean, what do they seriously think their chances are?!!
Pataki? Seriously?
We began to wonder if this was strategic. We began to bat around the idea that maybe by flooding the media with targets, their ability to demonize/alienate/belittle any “few” candidates would be reduced.
Too many targets and not enough time.
With all of them in the mix, there’s not enough ink to focus on JUST Cruz, or Perry, or Rubio...and on and on.
Sure, there’d be some, focused largely on the front-runners. But the focus will be diluted somewhat.
It’s not a bad idea.
The low information voter will be confused. The “purists” and “true believers” will have their convictions tested.
It’s a thought, anyway.
