If we take Fred Thompson as the standard, Hillary and Jeb really, really, really want to be president.

Otherwise, sure, they think it's in their grasp, figure it's worth a shot, but don't really really want to be president.

Neither did Romney. Or Gingrich. Maybe the candidate who really, really wants to be president is the exception rather than the rule.
