National Sales Tax would be the same concept — you buy a $100,000 car, you pay more tax than the guy buying a $10,000 car — and easy to assess: just add a key on the register. Its added benefit would be that Washington would always have a stake in maintaining a roaring economy — if the economy sucks and nobody’s buying, Washington loses money. And Washington would hate that.

The flat tax would do the same, in addition to making the U.S. a world-wide mecca for the productive, not, as it is today, a mecca for... those who should be headed to Mecca!

I like the Fair Tax, consumption tax, sales tax, whatever . It does seem like the most fair way to tax and would not require an IRS. I wish Cruz were promoting that as I think it would be a great solution. Then you could forget filing altogether, not even on a postcard.
