Show of hands: Who here would rather see Mike Huckabee in the White House than Ted Cruz?

Nonsense. Huckabee is a nothing.

I want Huckaphony like I want to see convicted murderers pardoned.

Huck’s a decent fellow, but those annoying “diabeetus” commercials on Rush are probably doing more to hurt his chances than anything else.

Yeah, I’m just not seeing a lot of people abandoning a fresh candidate like Cruz to support an also-ran like Huckabee.

When he was governor of Arkansas, he angered a lot of conservatives.

Sorta like saying Joe Biden’s populism is Hillary’s Nightmare, could upend the former SOS.

He is correct in the fact that the purpose of Huckabee — who is a non-starter -— is to act as spoiler.
He marches to the drum of Roger Ailes. Payback for his cushy Fox job.

What you say makes sense.
non-starter
political payback
additionally - MH will fail - Ted’s momentum will send Mike to the dustbin of bad bass player history.

“A lot of conservatives appear to believe there is some lockbox where their money is being saved for their retirement.”
No. They believe that they are owed what they paid in. If Medicare and Social Security are just more welfare programs for the indigent, then they need to be taken out of income taxes, not the regressive tax schemes currently in place to fund them.

Why would I want Huckabee when I can have Cruz? Same thing with Santorum.
Cruz is the whole package. The only one close to him is Walker and that’s because Walker has governing experience.

I don’t see it, I think that the Evangelical Cruz got out in front and cut off Huckabee making a pretend run.
If Huckabee tries, it won’t be a big problem for Cruz, it could hurt some of the others though, especially Paul.
