when does the shooting start? where is the line?

when the fedgov decides they can ruin you, take everything you’ve ever worked for, your home and your ability to provide for your family by taking your business... because you would NOT perform an action ... that’s about the time to reach for the musket. what other reaction would they expect?

involuntary servitude is protected against by the thirteenth amendment. enforce it with the second.

This view of gun rights that casts personal firearm ownership as a check on the abuses of government doesn’t make a great deal of practical sense, and it betrays a lack of faith in our democratic institutions.

On the contrary, it makes every bit of practical sense or the proggies wouldn't be squealing about it. It happens to be very handy when this fictitious "faith in our democratic institutions" runs out. It's running a little thin at the moment.

It is more than a little amusing to see the progress of the meme of the moment through the lickspittle press like a pig through the body of a snake. The difficulty from Salon's side of the fence is that yes, their opponents really are (1) heavily armed, (2) nearly completely disenfranchised, (3) ridiculed throughout the media, and (4) thoroughly fed up. This isn't a silly phantom they've conjured up to frighten the lumpenproletariat. This one's real.

From the charged atmosphere of politics, I can smell fear at the house of Salon.

Smells like victory.

Ted Cruz’s frightening gun fanaticism: When a presidential contender encourages armed insurrection

Obama's frightening executive overreach: When a president encourages tyranny and the only workable response is armed insurrection.

There’s a difference in “encouraging” and “not ruling out against any foreseeable or unforeseeable situation or event that may occur”. We need to be prepared, and we do have the right, for our survival as individuals and as a nation.

Under the 2nd Amendment, politicians are the only hunt with no bag limit.

"As incredible as it sounds, there’s an argument going on right now between two Republican senators (and, potentially, two Republican candidates for the presidency) over whether the American citizenry should be ready to fight a war against the federal government. The two senators in question are Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, and they can’t seem to agree whether the Second Amendment serves as bulwark against government “tyranny.”"

Many of us are old enough to remember when the left was urging violent revolution in the US, and slogans like, "Up against the wall, MF, "Off the pig (police)", and "Political power comes out of the barrel of a gun" were used on a daily basis. I guess the morons at Salon think we don't remember.

The idea that people have a right to revolt against an oppressive government is the basis on which this country was founded, and it is also the basis for all left-wing revolutionary theory.

The left knows that they now control most of this country's institutions - the media, the universities, the public schools, many churches, and even many corporations - and they are suddenly proclaiming the exact OPPOSITE of their traditional belief in the right to revolt against an oppressive government. They don't want anyone revolting against THEM.

Salon needs to do just the bare minimum of research, and it will find its argument holds no water.

I seem to remember a lot of leftists talking armed insurrection during Bush’s stay at the White House. It was okay then, but not now that they have their little commie Muslim in office.

I seem to recall something about Obama’s friends being insurrectionists, blowing up police buildings and such. Guns for them, but not for us, is the leftist rant.

Cruz isn’t saying anything these leftist hypocrites disagree with when it their time to oppose authority. Cruz is just echoing the Founders, who are hated by the left.

Liberals are terrified of Cruz. A brilliant man who can unapologetically state the case for conservatism. Cruz is the best candidate we have had in decades.

Ted talked about the 2nd amendment as protection for liberty. If the author claims that is encouraging insurrection, then the author must be granting the point that the government has become a threat to liberty...

I am falling more and more in love with the idea of President Cruz. He gets it.

But the reactions make me fear it is impossible.

DONT PEOPLE EVER READ THE CONSTITUTION???? Or history books at all???? I’m sure Lindsay prefers another type of gun, like in the Beatles song.

(Also, do you get my tagline?)
