Can’t be any worse than our current resident. And I think Cruz would actually stay within the confines of the Constitution.

Shouldn't we be asking why the current president won't work with congress?

Unbelievable.

Give him a pen and a phone. Presidents don’t have to work with congress anymore.

I called in to a local talk show this afternoon where the guest was touting Walker’s experience as governor and down playing Cruz’s short time in the Senate.
I pointed out that comparing a govenorship to the President was apples and oranges. The two offices function quite differently. While a Governor has aa much more hands on role, a President gets things done through his Cabinet.
The fact that Cruz has not been in Washington a long time is a positive. Long term Senators lose an ability to relate to the citizens they represent.

I think a more pertinent question is would President Cruz work better with Congress than the current arrogant, dictatorial civic ignoramus who dares to style himself a Constitutional expert? It's hard to imagine a "no" answer to that one.

Not that simply working with Congress is the stuff of a good president. LBJ worked great with Congress (he knew where more bodies were buried than Hillary and the WHO database). I would mildly object to the author's characterization of Eisenhower as short on political experience - he was anything but. It wasn't in Congress, to be sure, but who says it has to be?

There is, as well, a question that should never have to be asked but must be because the current toxic political climate is what it is in this country: how well will he work with the hostile, partisan media? He'll get his chance from here on in, because they're already hysterical.

Tokyo Rove and Charles SOUR Krauthammer are showing their opposition to any Conservative who ventures into the political arena in a position not supported by the Liberals in Washington!

Go back and look at their efforts to the winners of the Republican Primary who defeated the Liberal Republicans in past Primary Elections. They are only two of the pimps of the election industry who have never held an elected position, but have intuitive solutions to every public problem.

Once the RINOs get voted out, they be happy to follow Cruz’s orders!

Reverse the question. That’s more interesting.
