...Ted Cruz: The conservative firebrand did not back down from his opposition to federal agriculture subsidies. “You’d like me to do is say I’m for the RFS,” he told the crowd, but noted “people are fed up with politicians who tell one group one thing and another group another thing.”
Cruz, whose father escaped Cuba in the 1950s, hammered President Obama’s plan to revive relations with the island nation. Cruz noted that although he is an emphatic advocate for free trade, but Cuba is a communist dictatorship, the Castros have been brutal dictators and “they are exporting terrorism throughout the hemisphere.”
