This was a clumsy unforced error by Ben Carson. He’s a great individual, but is not ready for prime time and all their gameplaying with gotcha questions. Ben looks young but he’s 63 years old, and not likely to drastically change the way he expresses himself. At least we see this now, not during the national debates as we did with Perry. If a republican is somehow elected, I hope Carson becomes the Surgeon General of the U.S. then hires a team of aides who will provide all quotations to the media.

Doctors are usually considered, largely by themselves, the 'Smartest Guy in the Room."

So, they feel they must instruct the ignorant on EVERY question. They cannot resist applying their immense brainpower to all questions, whether they are within the realm of their expertise or not. They figure, "What the Hell, I gotta be smarter than these peasants!"

The best way to appreciate this phenomenon is to ask a flight instructor who has taught a couple of docs to fly. Not that they think they need any instruction. Then ask the insurance agent who sold the flying docs a policy. Unfortunately for him, our fair land is littered with airplanes wrecked by docs who already knew how to fly and immediately rushed out and bought "too much plane."

Doc Carson is the kind of doc whom other docs consider "really smart!" So he feels under a tremendous obligation to opine on EVERYTHING ...poor guy!

Correct answer to the reporter's question, "Go to prison. Talk to a queer. Leave me alone. BTW, you don't look all that well. You gay?m You had better get checked."
