I went to a tea party event that had WSJ Daniel Henninger speaking, and he wondered why there were so many seniors in the audience, when it was really the young people who would not be able to achieve in life what the older generation experienced.
Obviously, we care about those that will precede us. Liberals do not.
Young people really need to get hip, it is their future that is endangered. I think that we need a cultural movement to get them the clue, that being liberal in their youth is a sad life passage, and not to be encouraged. Let’s put that meme out.
Liberal= European multi-family homes. Hah!
“Sigh that blue spot on the edge of TN is where I live and its run like Detroit!”
What is the major city, Nashville? What is the reason for the awful blue spot there in TN?
I campaigned for him: stood outside a Delco PA polling place on primary day, next to a Archie-Bunker union type who was stumping for Hubert Horatio Hornblower, as he was referred to by a future President. Come a LONG way, baby.
“I just remembered that I voted for McGovern in 1972.”
Me too. Idealism of youth. First time to vote, because you had to be 21 until then.
I have never voted for a democrat for any office, since then.
Baker is 99% leftist
Elise Stefanik took the Adirondacks away from the dems...youngest woman ever elected to the House.
Thanks Windflier, you know the truth, but so many here on FR slam California as though we are one big Liberal cesspool.
The party threw her overboard.
Think about it. Taking the power of infrastructure funding away from the senate and returning it to the states was a major issue for her and that goes right to the heart of the entire senate power brokerage industry.
I had a few conversations with the SE district GOP communications director. She told me that no money to hire staff and no money to make ads or get the message out just couldn’t compete with the Peters college student brigades. She also hinted that Peters threatening TV station licenses had put a real chill into the air.
Memphis?
I voted for McGovern, too! Then I graduated from college, got a job, started paying taxes, and veered very dramatically to the right.
Which also proves the other old saying, “It’s amazing how smart my parents became when I turned 21.”
I would say that's a direct reflection of the country's anger and dissatisfaction with Obama's leftist agenda.
Democrats and Republicans both had better be reading this right. It's a strong message from The People that we want Obama stopped dead in his tracks. Period.
I’m still in a Blue County —Travis,Austin TX—but it takes 5 lefties against me in a debate for them to even have a chance to break even in points.
In a fistfight, it goes up to 10 to one and that is usually the Homo’s and dykes fighting me because the lefty men have been emasculated by their Cindy Sheehan wives.
How I wish. My county in Eastern Calif was thought to be in Nevada until the survey of 1864. Too bad it didn’t stay that way.
Nashville is the blue stain in central Tennessee; the smaller one down in the corner is Memphis.
I guess you learn something new here every day. I'd never heard that (though MA did just elect a Repub Gov last night).
My grandpa was a life long republican, but since he passed away he only votes democrat.
That Democrat-sanctioned gerrymandering has probably backfired on the Dems and reduces their number of reps.
It does though lead to cushy jobs and graft for the black apparatchiks who get to represent the districts.
The last Blue Dog House Dem, John Barrow (GA), was defeated yesterday. His district is dark red on the GA House map. He was the only white Dem Representative to survive the 2010 election.

It’s a thing of beauty.
The reality is that Dems nearly everywhere are compacted into very small geographic areas.
If Obola gets going bigtime, it’s gonna take out a disproportionate number of them due to contagion via compression.
