2016 is LOST! (It's a presidential year bringing out 'rats from all corners.)
Plus another McCain will be a disaster. ( 3 strikes and YER OUT!)

The part about the blue wall at least, is true. And what is more, the dems don't need to steal Florida or Ohio -- they just need to steal a handful of key counties in either or both states.
We need a candidate so inspirational that thousands of normally non-voters will be drawn to the polls. One that will draw an additional 10 million Evangelicals in Florida, Ohio, and Virginia.
*Paging Ted Cruz*

From the Article:
None of this is written in stone, of course; parties can redefine their futures if they come up with good ideas and good candidates. Given the way the GOP's been acting we can almost count on them pushing Romney, Bush, or Christie and a solid campaign of the other guy's worse
as they recycle bad ideas and bad candidates.

It’s heart-warming that all these leftists care so much that we take care of our victory.
What would we do without their advice.

I getting tired of the commie ‘RATS telling us “don’t read anything into this election” every time the GOP kicks their asses. If we take back the Senate, the GOP needs to cowboy up and stomp on the ‘RATS every chance they get. Maybe rustle some of Hopalong Harry’s cattle.

However, conservatives have ways of making those18 stupid states pay for their ignorance. Don’t spend a dime in those states for business or pleasure. Take your money to friendly states instead.

“Altogether, these 18 states plus the District of Columbia account for 242 electoral votes — just 28 shy of the 270 magic total required to win the White House”
I just don’t see how this is winnable. You would have to deny them virtually every swing state.
Perhaps efforts are better made, monetary and otherwise, in electing governors and legislatures that will either secede or just blank Clintoon

The blue “wall” has a lot of cracks. The author is not impressing me with this idiocy. Everyone of these voted for Ronald Reagan’s second term except Minnesota.
The 18 states of the “wall”:
California -
Connecticut - Likely to elect a GOP governor
Delaware -
Hawaii -
Illinois - Has a GOP governor
Maine - will elect a GOP senator
Maryland -
Massachusetts - will elect a GOP governor
Michigan - has a GOP senator and Congress
Minnesota -
New Jersey - has a GOP governor
New York - GOP controls the state senate
Oregon -
Pennsylvania - a GOP governor
Rhode Island -
Vermont - minimal gun control, best in the country
Washington -
Wisconsin - has a conservative GOP governor

The disappointing part is that all three of those states seem to be frequently mentioned with vote fraud even though they have R governor and R sec of state.
(I realize Virginia no longer has an R gov but the did when McAwful was being elected)

David Gergen and Karl Rove.
Yeah, these guys will lead us to a new golden era of prosperity, smaller government, and domestic tranquility.
But shouldn’t David Brooks and his sound advice been woven into the story, too?

Given the way the GOP's been acting we can almost count on them pushing Romney, Bush, or Christie and a solid campaign of "the other guy's worse" as they recycle bad ideas and bad candidates. And you can bet your retirement nest egg, that half of the posters on FR will be yelling at you to "vote RINO because they don't suck as much as the Dems".
It's becoming a vicious circle of insanity.
