Which party? He wants to attract the liberal vote?

A good way of putting it. Paul's positions have become increasingly liberal on their surface.

However, the polls indicate that the youth vote is disenchanted with The One They Were Waiting For and is up for grabs.

Theoretically, Sen. Paul might be in the best position to attract those votes to a ticket.

Personally, I'd rather not see him on the ticket at all -- but he will have his attraction to the GOP-e candidates (who will also see him, mistakenly, as a bridge to the "Tea Party vote").
