I think what happened in Texas will spread to other states in the Deep South.
Texas Tea Party won’t matter if King Urkel mints 10 million new mojados as voters in the Lone Star State.. Once again, the Stupid Party plays by the rules while the Democrats steamroll them.
Texas will be destroyed by turning it into a solid blue state in order to seal the end of the republic.
If Austin is unwilling to seal the border now and tell Urkel to go f*ck himself, the war is already over.
The Tea Party didn’t “take over” the Texas GOP, the common sense of the state residents did.
I would have grave doubts about a conservative future holding together for Texas.
Conservatives in Austin have been especially hamstrung by one man’s pen and phone. Joe Straus.
And, with an upside down demographic careening toward Texas fast and an influx of blue state job seekers, Texas can be in trouble overnight.
The Christian faith has been the catalyst for most grassroots political action, and even that has been fundamentaly transformed leaning increasingly toward kumbiya with socialist agendas, even in some conservative state strongholds.
I’m not sure Texas Republicans have even noticed.
Observing the agenda of Catholic bishops out of San Antonio and even the prosperity gospel of some Protestant communities has its effects. Some expanding outreach defending this exceptional Republic and teaching the Constitution needs to fan out beyond the walls of the Republican state convention toward some unusual targets.
