I swear the Republican Party has been infiltrated by leftists intent to destroy the party from within.(Just like what is going on in Washington). Jeb Bush has no chance in hell of winning in 2016. I will not vote for him. If a dem wins, so be it-they will be responsible for the downfall of America.

I don't think that's it. I think the GOPe are desperately looking for a security blanket and by the criteria Jeb Bush fits the bill pretty well.

He has a pretty solid resume, and is the most Conservative of the family (and Dub'ya was significantly more Conservative than his Dad was). He did a really good job in his terms as FL Governor, especially when it came to the crisis management that sunk his brother (I was in FL for Hurricane Jeanne, the 3rd of 5 hurricanes that hit the state that year)

The sad truth is that if his last name was something other than "Bush" he'd be a top-tier candidate and probably on a par with Scott Walker (but without the contrived "scandals" the Left is starting to go after Walker on, or at least a better ability to fight them off).

But his last name IS "Bush" and that really matters. He may look good in a lot of areas (fundraising capacity, executive experience, accomplishments, track-record of leadership), but the bad taste that's still in the public's mouth over his brother is a real albatross around his neck. He really needs to stay out of 2016 ...
