I've previously floated the idea of Martinez running, but I'm told she has ruled it out. I personally think she is one of the few Republicans who would have a shot at beating Hillary. She would not lose the conservative base, she would attract Hispanic and Catholic voters, and she has high popularity ratings in her state. And she is an excellent speaker and pretty easy on the eyes.

As for Palin, I like her, but she is damaged goods. She'll never recover from the pounding the Dems and media gave her in 2008.
