Just now Rec. a letter from the Republican National Committee. First line says “ I don’t want to believe you’ve abandoned the Republican Party, but I have to ask... Have you given up?” Ant ideas for my reply??

Dear GOP: I have not abandoned the Republican Party; they, on the other hand, have abandoned me. The GOP has repeatedly turned its back on me and my values, paid lip service to conservative principles and then embraced, with wet, sloppy kisses, the agenda of the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. Even a vote of "present" would tell me that the Republicans are on my side and not the side of my political enemy. The GOP does not need my vote nor the vote of my like minded brothers and sisters. It can pursue the votes of the all-important "independent," moderate electorate.
Thank you for your past and brief support. The GOP is dead. Long live the GOP.
