Certainly Romney was a disaster, he wasn’t my choice, that’s for sure, and we had better figure out how to nominate a real conservative in the Republican Party, or get us a new party. However, that plan will only work if you kill the Republican Party when you do it. Three party systems don’t work in the USA.

So, within a two party system, once the parties have selected their nominees, you have to select the lesser of two evils. Since I will never in my lifetime vote for a Democrat, the choice is pretty simple. If you don’t make that choice, you elect the Democrat, you don’t even have to stay at a Holiday Inn Express to figure that out.

Read post 65, while “choosing the lesser of two evils” is a common and usually suitable political saying, it is evidently possible as we learned in 2012, that someone can be too evil to vote for or to actively join his efforts to attain his desire for power.

Obama and Romney were both that for some Americans, in this case people who could not vote for the republican’s choice, didn’t, they skipped that slot, or did a write in, or voted third party, or stayed home.

Romney never belonged in politics, and surely not republican politics.

Did the founders create a 2 party system? No. There was something like 18 candidates on the presidential election ballot. Know one put a gun to your head to pick A or B.
