Why do you claim that Romney ran on being pro-life which is the GOP platform position?
Why love the convention which banned Palin and was an in your face snub of conservatives?
Rather than know Romney’s lifelong positions and beliefs, you seem to just want to wave around his campaign material and pretend that is reality.

The reality is the base has shrunk. I’m socially conservative. I’m pro life, pro- traditional marriage, pro gun. I hope I’m still in the club and haven’t been excommunicated. But you should really read about what I wrote about my home state of CA. Every word of it is exactly true. Demographic factors sank Romney more than anything else. Demographic factors changed CA from a solid red state (at least in presidential elections) to a soild blue state. It doesn’t matter here in CA if you are rocked rib conservative like Tom McClintock, or a squishy RINO like Arnold. Republicans cannot get elected to anything in this state anymore thanks largely to changing demographic factors which are also happening in other states. Someone mentioned Texas. Well we’re going to lose Texas too eventually if some of these trends are not reversed. I believe Obama carried both Dallas and Harris counties-—the two biggest counties in that state.
