Reagan was never pro-abortion. Early on he was pro-life with exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother. The nature of the debate and legislation at that time did not have the stringency in rhetoric that exists today. As time went on, he became more stringent in his exceptions and his rhetoric.

The truth of the matter is that Reagan wasn't sure about things when he signed that bill. You can claim some kind of hindsight, or special thinking, or some other excuse, but clearly he signed a pro-abort bill. It was later that he firmed up his pro-life beliefs, you can spin it any way you want, but it was later.

And Ansell, anyone who knows me doesn't lie on this forum about me being a Romney bot. It's never been true, you're simply a liar and a weasel, and (to xzins) I have no regrets for saying that, because he is. Xzins, you know that I'm the farthest thing from a Romney devotee, so kindly go lecture him about his repeated lies.

Reagan became THE best president ever for those of us who are pro life, it's a slam dunk, he really worked to get rid of Roe v Wade, but to claim he was ALWAYS pro life is simply untrue. Spin it all you want, pretend it was so, but it wasn't.

And just so you clearly understand, he was NEVER pro-abort to my knowledge as Romney clearly was.

Last, Sir Ansell, your claim that Romney has ALWAYS been pro-abort is simply untrue, he hasn't changed since 2006. But you do like to lie, Sir A.......so keep on doing just that.

You can look at post 190 and see what Lakeshark posts, month after month, after month, on thread after thread, it is this nasty personal stuff in service to Mitt Romney, mods have had to pull many of her/his posts in the past.

There just isn’t reasoning or talking to him/her, personal attacks and insults and blind rage seem to be the only thing she can do.

No one else on freerepublic is so obsessed with fighting for Romney and protecting his legacy and reputation and influence and absolutely despising anyone who does not approve of him.
