So the guy can still care about his gay son and not yet bow his knee to the Gay Mafia trying to force sodomy down everyone’s throat?
Good for him.
The approach that is appropriate is to hate the sin, but love the sinner—the approach in the classic Christian sense. We certainly should not be celebrating the activity.
Conservatives really need to be careful where they send their children to school. Check to make sure there are no homosexuality recruiters on the faculty or on campus.
Thinking about these “gay” children.
Is it now fashionable to have a “gay” child?
This issue is becoming boring.........really boring.
Most of the people I know, even those who have no problem with homosexuality are sick to death of talking about it.
Bottom line you can love your child and still disapprove of their choices.
When I was growing up there was something called shame.
My concerns are the first amendment and how it is protected in this environment. As far as the morality of the act itself, I believe that it is morally disordered but so are a lot of other things we take for granted now in this culture. I think its interesting that Dante, in Purgatorio, puts the homosexual lovers in the highest level of Purgatorio, closest to Heaven. Not that he was a great theologian but shows that the shame of the sin in his day was less than the shame of the Pope he put in hell. Betrayal of a friend or of God compared to loving the wrong person.
I do think that a lot of these gay kids of conservatives are due to the dad being too busy to properly raise the kid...in other words, it’s a type of rebellion for what the kid perceives (rightly or wrongly) as neglect by the dad.
It’s a no-win for us, as it’s hard to be prominent, yet still watch your kids like a hawk, which you have to do, given the recruiting going on - so we end up like this.
it IS a choice. Unless its rape, its a choice.
was he molested as a kid?
I personally think that the cesspool in and around DC is as bad if not worse than in Hollywierd for wholesome living.
Even Mormon kids, if they spend enough time in government schools and Ivy League colleges and universities, and saturated by liberals morning, noon and night that the influence of liberalism is many time stronger than the influence from their families and religion.
It’s called being principled.
If my son were an adulterer, I’d still be against adultery.
If he were a bigamist, I’d still be against bigamy.
If he were a fornicator, I’d still be against fornication.
And none of that means I’d “hate” him.
Sorry, but the Gay Population is EXPLODING!! It is no longer 1-2% ——it SEEMS like it’s 10% because NOW it’s a COOL thing.....although it’s Dancing on the Trapdoor of HELL!
This will repeat but main topic is that there is something wrong with gayism, lesbianism & transexuality (worse than gays). Sad truth is that weve lost the war on homosexuality as since 2000, discussion mainly is about marriage. Too many young people (those under 30 years old) see nothing wrong with gayism/lesbianism. When people see nothing wrong with gay/lesbian behaviors, then marriage becomes inevitable.
Gay/lesbian marriage is a moot point, because again, it’s about the fact that there’s something wrong with gay/lesbian behaviors & transexuality & not enough discussion is being given to the latter. If a person son is a drunkard, it’d be a bad idea to approve of drunkardism because a family member is. Some people have criminals in family, but it’d be a bad idea to support crime because 1’s son turned out to be murderer. Yes it’s human nature for family to stand by their kids even if a kid is a murderer, but it’s a bad idea to approve of the behavior. Anyhow, there’s too much talk about gay/lesbian marriage when again, that topic’s a moot point. Talk must be about that there’s something wrong with gay & lesbian behaviors but when people see nothing wrong with gay/lesbian behaviors, then marriage becomes inevitable.
