His NCAA bracket a bust, President Obama believes he has a solution that will help salvage his predictions and his pride Executive orders.
Having recently used the power of the executive order to further his gun agenda, the President believes it can be used for other major policy issues as well. The first item on the agenda? Getting his pick for the NCAA mens basketball championship back in the tournament.
The President explained, Getting the Indiana Hoosiers back in the tournament is not just a victory for any one party its a victory for the American people.
Recent polling seems to suggest otherwise, with 99 percent of all non-Hoosier Americans opposed to the tactic.
Undeterred, the President said, Let me be clear. The NCAA Bracket Redistribution Executive Order of 2013 does not promote a lack of respect for the Wichita States, or the Louisvilles, who have earned their way into the Final Four. It is about a redistribution of success. And, quite frankly, it is about damage control for my ego.
Republicans meanwhile have expressed outrage at the thought of using such controversial tactics for a basketball tournament.
House Speaker John Boehner stated, Never before has such a monumental change to our office pools been carried out without the support of both parties. Were talking about the fundamental overhaul of a multi-billion dollar industry.
Echoing other Republican sentiments concerning process over policy, Boehner became emotional, angrily asking his colleagues, Have you even read the executive order? Hell no, you havent!
Despite his opposition, Boehner hinted at a willingness to discuss a change of vote if certain elements of the bill were removed.
If say, the bill replaces the term Hoosier with Buckeye, I would consider supporting the Presidents efforts, said the U.S. Rep. from Ohios 8th congressional district.

Prayers for that young man from Louisville.
I knew Michigan was in the final four as soon as I saw his pick....
:-)
I forgot about that. Damn you, Obama!
The kiss of death (Bambi’s bracket) falls from above.......
In the second half the Syracuse players tried to continue their clown-show but outdid themselves early on and one of them was tricked into leaping up and diving down on top his head.
They began behaving themselves much better after that.
And from this guy.
To me it looked like Indiana hadn’t been prepared for the Syracuse defense. Looked more like a coaching mistake than the refs.
Florida was only blown out like that one other time this year, against Arkansas, where they just shot lights out from 3-point land. Not much you can do when that happens.
Meets the primary qualification for being a 4/1 post: It’s 100% believable. Good work!
The refs had to notice it.
The obvious solution is for their opponent(s) in any further games to TAKE OUT one of the practitioners right at the start.
I U class of '72
The bumping and banging of the Big Ten had to prepare the players for the physicality of the Orange, it’s gotta be the coaching. I’ve never seen this Indiana team so incapable of responding, they looked like they didn’t know what to do the whole game. That’s too talented a team to look like that, and I really think the refs had little to do with it. I was rooting for Indiana too.....just saying.
Indiana should have kept Bobby Knight!
They were getting punched out ~ wasn’t just a bit of jostling.
Unfortunately, with bh0 as prez, this rather obvious April Fool’s Day story, might just be the truth.
LOL. Irascible, along with curmugeonly temper tantrums, but a great coach.
I’m so used to Big Ten physical D that I didn’t notice. Heck, they beat State twice, you don’t get more physical than that.
