So what is your view re Senator Cruz? Do you think he qualifies as natural born?
I really like the guy, but there is some controversy re whether or not he is a natural born citizen.
Not everyone can or should be considered Presidential material. That said, Cruz has had a very short time on the national political scene. He appears to be both qenuinely Conservative and well spoken. If he continues that, I would expect that he would grow to be a valued Senator, not only for the State of Texas, but for the nation at large. God knows we need a Constitutionally aware legislature that understands the limits set upon it by our founding documents and the economic restraint to stop spending the nation in the to the poor house.
People that are not afraid to rock the boat, upset some long entrenched applecarts, and ferret out blatant and subtle government corruption......all the while adhereing to both the letter and intent of the Constitution.
As for Cruz presidential aspiration don’t you think such speculation a bit premature at best.....sort of like the Soup de Jour? Can’t we just allow him the time necessary to grow into the job he has now?????
If Cruz was indeed born in Canada, something I have not verified, he would not meet the requirements listed under Article II of the Constitution.....Given that circumstance, I would seriously doubt that Cruz, a strict and Conservative Constitutionalist, would even entertain throwing his hat into the presidential arena. If he did, I would then begin to question his Constitionalist credentials....
Keep in mind that the Congress is Co-equal with the executive branch. Sen Cruz, with or without meeting the Article II requirements, cam be a powerful voice in Congress and provide the congressional leadership to chart our nation’s future history......A legislative leader we all could be proud of....
