I hear the government say that the “gun nuts are paranoid”.

We were told that the investigations into the subversives working on behalf of the Communist Soviet Union was a Red Scare and “hysteria”.

So why is the government “right to be scared of gun owners” by not card carrying Communists?

It’s one of the constants of their political tactics, they always need to scapegoat and demonize the opposition. They must do that, because if anyone honestly describes the Marxists’ goals, the Marxists would be demonized without the need for any exaggeration or dishonesty. So, they absolutely must immunize against that by demonizing anyone who might oppose them first.
