Were they able to destroy her? Time will tell.

Flashback to how we got to where we are today...

Evidently, knowing McCain was going to lose, the decision was made to start working towards 2012, before the 2008 election was over.

These Romney sycophants pushed every bogus story that came out about Governor Palin, and made up a few themselves.

We know why Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace spread such malicious lies about the Governor, they were trying to save their own worthless reputations. What the Romney people did was just as despicable. They were hoping to harm Governor Palin’s reputation to the point she wouldn’t be a viable candidate in the future. All to pave the way for Mitt.

I'm not afraid, but I am nervous about our country's future. I believe that another liberal limp wrist would be less harmful to America in 2016 than a RINO would be, because a RINO who allowed the evil from these terrible eight years to stand would set a precedent. Until such time as constitutional government is restored, I can no longer vote for the lesser of two evils. I will only vote for genuine conservatives who support the Constitution of the United States (the real one, not the "living" one), who own and use guns, and who will aggressively cut spending instead of symbolically cutting the projected rate of spending growth.

This year, I knew my vote didn't matter - the communist had a lock on my state - but I didn't vote for Romney. And 2016? Again, I will not vote for Christie, or any other big government RINO, nor will I work for them. I didn't believe Romney would repeal ObamaCare, and I don't believe Christie would either.

All I know for sure is Governor Sarah Palin was dragged through the mud for a candidate that didn’t even want the job.

The money line...

Those who worked so hard to destroy Palin are also the ones who are willing to lose in order to destroy the Tea Party. The handwriting IS on the wall, a good portion of the GOP has become self-immolating, power hungry elitist that want the Tea Party dead.

I noticed that our Mormon neighbor didn’t put up any Christmas decorations this year. How have the Mormons reacted to Romney’s loss? It seems that some of them saw him as the fulfillment of prophesy.

This article is so dumb. Just dumb. Because it delves into personality politics -- and that's not our game. Conservatism wins everywhere it's tried -- to borrow a phrase.

"It was after Sarah Romney was chosen that things picked up, considerably. Massive crowds started showing up, volunteers showed up to man local GOP offices, and money came pouring in."

He had massive crowds, money, volunteers -- didn't make a whit of diff.

The game is now about Democrats having endless weeks on end to ship low-info voters to the polls. Period.

Fix that, and it's game on again...

Separating out "Romney people" from "Bush people" and "McCain people" and other Republican campaign professionals isn't easy.

It looks like he's built a good case against Kevin Madden who worked for Romney in 2008, but a lot of the badmouthing of Palin came from McCain loyalists who found it convenient to blame Romneyites for it after the election.

It's perverse to acknowledge the responsibility of McCain loyalists Schmidt and Wallace for undermining Palin and then try to make out that it was the Romney people who were "really" behind the talk.

The people he's talking about are "professionals," i.e. mercenaries. They work for those who have money and a plausible shot at winning. They aren't "liberals" who hate "conservatives."

Given a "conservative" candidate who had a shot at winning they might well support that candidate. Apparently they didn't think Palin would run or hire them or win, and they weren't wrong about that.

I'd counsel against taking this latest "Romney revelation" to seriously. What somebody "really" wants or doesn't want is a matter of interpretation. It's a matter of degree.

Romney pretty clearly didn't have the killer instinct. He didn't want to win in November at any cost (though he did relish fighting Gingrich and Santorum in the primaries).

Maybe, like other candidates down through the years, he would have stepped aside if someone more qualified were in the race -- not necessarily a bad thing. But that doesn't mean he wasn't in the race to win it or that he intentionally intended in advance to mount a losing campaign.

Many of us Palin supporters saw this happening as it happened and were furious about it but no one would listen. And even with all the grass roots backing, she decided NOT to run. Well now we have no more choices so I guess the Rino and the dems win because they have joined forces against us.
