Go outside and find something to do.
Seriously, we dont need 12000 vanities of wannabe political analysts trying to work out their jittery nerves by posting every little blasted observation.
“Rush is nervous”? So what? Today he wont be, Monday he may be again. He isnt God. He has no more clue what will happen or not as the next guy.
This is key. I have been thinking he nearly sounds panicky, well for him anyway.
I'm afraid it is the former, and NOT the latter.
I've seen this before - it's the Dole / McLame playbook being re-run play by play.
The Good Book has some good advice for people like Rush:
"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:4-7
Don't worry. Trust God.
I think it is clear Romney is behind. Not by nearly as much as the MSM suggests, but he is behind. My guess is probably around 3 points.
Why is he not attacking more? Again, my guess is he wants to see where he stands after the first debate. If he makes up ground there, he will probably continue to play it safe.
If nothing changes, or it gets even worse for him, then I would expect he comes out guns blazing and at the very least fires up the squishy members of our base to come out and vote.
Not a good position for him to be in, but also not even close to being over yet.
Oh, woe is us. It’s all over. I’m not going to vote. There, now the MSM is happy. Mission accomplished.
Pretty good analysis.
I think they have some surprises up their sleeves relative to ads, but more importantly the GOTV effort. I think they are investing heavily in this tactic - they learned from WI. It’s not a ROI you will see until Nov 6th.
Sit tight. Mitt Romney is very smart. He’s not McCain who is happy to have it on his resume, and then head back to the Senate.
Furthermore, Romney is up with indies, and will win almost all undecideds. I think it’ll be 51-48.
I agree with you in principle, maybe not point by point but at least on the issue of Romney’s campaign style.
You drew flak for it, but Kudos. The flak is from wishful thinkers, the overly optimistic and for lack of a better term, clueless.
All things being equal, If Romney continues as he has it will be difficult for him to win.
One of the flak givers has it right though, though they put it in insulting terms .... What’s going on right now is a campaign of hopelessness, make us believe it’s not worth the mental effort and then the physical effort of voting. Diminish our turnout is just as good as winning votes.
The thing is, not to rant and rave about their strategy no matter how obvious it seems, it’s to counteract that strategy with a strategy to keep us enthusiastic about voting against Obama — and Romney’s campaign isn’t doing that.
I’m thinking and hoping all hell breaks loose in October and the Romney Campaign goes on the move with a scorched earth campaign.
Whoever has the momentum going coming up to the election is going to win. Screaming the Media this the Media that, as Romney surrogates are doing isn’t going to give us any momentum and you’re not going to whip people into enthusiasm.
We all just need to sit back and hold our collectives breaths and wait to see what Romney does this next coming week. 9 days at the latest.
Why won’t Romney release all his academic marks (SAT’s, high school, college, grad school, etc.) and complete medical (not 1 page like Obama in 08) records and challenge Obama to do likewise. The Democrats mocked Bush because he had no gravitas and only had an 85 average at Yale. They shut right up when we found out JF’n Kerry had an 84 average at Yale.
