“The press criticism of Romney’s statement is so clearly at the administration’s behest that they are giving lapdogs a bad name.”

That'll leave a mark, good on ya, John!

Obama has got to go. We need competent and brave leadership. Is Obama even on our side?

Here’s something that should be pointed out...

It is the President’s responsibility to advise the nominee on matters of national security during a crisis. What was Romney to do? He would have looked bad had he not said anything. Obama should have briefed Romney and craft a common statement. But Obama figured Romney was going to say something, and his lackeys in the media would then pounce on Romney for saying it.....the man has no shame.

The leftist MSM is trying to make this about Romney, it’s truly Orwellian.

.....

What Would You Do?

How is this for politics. If you commit a blunder and a tragedy ensues and your opponent calls you on it... what should you do?

1. Deflect - Trash your opponent for speaking out of turn? (making up that rule on the fly)

2. Distract - Have your media minions trash your opponent and downplay the tragic events.

3. Demagogue - Wag your finger at your opponent and say he doesn’t know what he is talking about and to let you do your job. Especially when he is right and you have no clue.

ANSWER: All 3 of them

Deflect, Distract and Demagogue

Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton tells Right Turn:”The perception of American weakness that provided the foundation for these attacks is largely because of Obama administration mistakes and lack of resolve."
The sad reality is that I am having a tough time convincing myself that the issue of weakness is actually perception.

Our response does not have to be a military response, but it must have consequences that accrue to the entire region, not just Egypt and Libya. The response should be openly framed as punitive and retaliatory in nature, instead of defensive.

I realize our current President is incapable of thinking this way. One can dream. Congress has the opportunity here to push him to do the right thing.

We should begin by announcing the suspension of all aid to Libya and Egypt. Other countries receiving aid should be asked to announce their condemnation of these attacks or risk losing theirs. Public outrage may push Obama to at least do these things.

We should move a couple carriers, in addition to the two ships we’ve already moved to the region.

“Bringing the perps to justice” is the wrong way to go, again, consequences have to accrue to the entire region, IMHO. It would give me chill bumps to hear that we will now move forward with the Keystone Pipeline, and fast track the drilling of our shores and public lands. This would send a strong message to the Saudis and others in the region that we’re serious. I guess we could call this a “pipe dream” however.
