Sarah is the best stump speaker I have ever heard, but she is more Davy Crocket than Daniel Webster. Crockett did not get along well with Jackson. His humorous, folksy and well received speeches are fun to read even today, because they always had “Bite.” By comparison, Mr. Romney’s speeches try to “gum” their opponents to death.
