A person who signed up for this would be nuts:
1. The Order could be repealed by the next administration.
2. The Congress could override.
3. Their parents could be found and deported.
4. They will have to register for the draft (males).
5. The Government will know where they are.
6. They will have to pay back taxes and penalties.
Axe and Plouffe are treating this the same way as the gay marriage endorsement. Even though a lot of independent voters disagree, they’ll still vote for Obama.
I say this is different because there’s more of a financial impact. Even independent will understand that it’s unfair when free college tuition is given to some kid who is here illegaly while they have to pay tuition.
Where is Romney? Is this just no big deal? Does he have a position on this massive dictatorial power grab? What is he doing. This has been out for 3 hours and he has made no statement???
These people wouldn’t necessarily be able to vote (unless they already are) but, legal citizens might be swayed.
The hispanization of this nation is a very direct challenge to the party over the next few decades. Look at voting patterns of hispanics and look to their demographic explosion. As these people continue to turn out citizen children at a high rate the threat to the party will grow and grow. Our only real chance to keep a conservative movement going is to find ways to appeal to latinos. Otherwise by the end of the century we’ll be a third world hole like Mexico.
