Besides a couple of weekly papers does the state have a conservative newspaper anymore? Knoxnews.com went liberal when Frank Cagle left as editor. Now they seem to have some partnership with Memphis Commercial Appeal as well.

The Nashville City Paper is the closest to a moderate paper, but it’s pro-business, which means they don’t want to take tough stances on social issues. When the Nashville Banner folded (which had been Conservative but became more liberal under new ownership, though well to the right of the Tennessean) in the late ‘90s, it gave the Tennessean carte blanche to jump off the moonbat cliff (the irony was that the Tennessean “promised” to take into consideration its more moderate Banner readers... but that lasted about 5 seconds, leading to a middle-finger salute).

So, basically, there is no Conservative newspaper in TN that I know of.
