Sadly, I’m returning to California. My daughter and friends are stuck there, and I need to be closer to them.
There aren’t any jobs in Oregon (current state of residence) and this state sucks too. Plus, Republican and Conservative politics are messed up in Oregon.
:( I’ll register as Republican in California

Sorry to hear you have to come back. but I must admit I will be glad to have some conservative company again. I am a native Californian and proud of my state; just not the people in it.
Born in San Francisco as a matter of fact, but that was a long time before it became San Fagcisco. After I got out of the Corps I tried Colorado but there was no work there in 72, so I had to come back to where the jobs were. They have all left the state since but back then it was pretty good. ended up retiring here. If you can stay out of the major population centers you will find it's not so bad.
I retired to my own little farm in Trinity county and I find a lot of like minded people here, hard working and a good foundation in family and God. One of the best parts of it is about 95% of them have firearms, so they wont have to borrow any of the ones I lost in that terrible boating accident on Trinity Lake.
