Every single border state governor you can name...no matter how conservative... has had the same record with immigration because they know hispanics are a huge voting block and they can easily vote out every conservative in the state at some point. Something has to be done to convince them voting Dem is not a good fit for them.

And I will repeat this again...RR did not just sign the amnesty bill, he called for OPEN BORDERS.

You can be as hardass as you want against Perry, but allowing students who graduated from a U.S. school and who have applied for citizenship, along with several other qualifiers, to attend Texas colleges, is hardly amnesty.

His border policies are as hardcore as any I've heard of.

If you want to spin his actions vis a vis illegals, I can't stop you. Just don't expect a lot of conservatives to buy what you're selling, hence his recent poll numbers. He's being killed in the polls by a man who's NEVER held any kind of elective office! Not even dog catcher or town clerk!
