I know quite a few Texans who are great conservatives and every one of them supports Rick Perry. None of them say he's an ideal candidate and for good reason. There is no ideal candidate.

Last year when Palin endorsed Perry for reelection, she also endorsed John McCain and Michelle Bachmann too. Like I said, the Bush clan and Dick Cheney backed Kay Bailey Huchinson in the 2010 Texas Governors race. This stuff happens all the time. Its politics. Conservatives coming to Texas to endorse Perry is not a big deal. I seriously doubt Palin will be endorsing anyone for the GOP nomination. Several of the candidates have spoken to Palin since she declined to run. Santorum is the only one I've heard by name who asked Palin for her personal backing.

” Conservatives coming to Texas to endorse Perry is not a big deal.”

This Conservative won’t be comming. I’m looking for a real not faux Conservative. That, by definition eliminates Perry from contention.
