I will never understand the attraction folks had towards Palin. My wife, daughter, sister, nieces and cousins were all in for Palin. I never was.

I couldn’t get over her quitting.

But forgive me for holding those reservations. I realize that in some circles here, not supporting Palin is akin to not painting over the name N*rHead on the rock at the entrance to your hunting camp right away.

I like Cain too. Cain’s biggest problem with me is that he wasn’t an Aggie. And he didn’t fly airplanes for the USAF.

I am serious when I write this. It doesn’t matter what Romney says his position is, he didn’t govern as governor the way he says he will now. Everything is suspect. My biggest worry about Romney is the supreme court. We are one Souter appointment away from a 5-4 liberal court that will overturn whatever reason was left in our judicial system.

Has any other candidate’s surrogates asked you for your support? I am. I’m a pretty cool guy, just like most of the Perry people. Well, most of the Perry people, anyway. Some of the Perry people are from the east coast and it takes a while to understand them

He has been giving speeches that clearly states his plans and positions. Guess you haven’t noticed huh?

I meant it should be a FR fine. Every time someone mentions Rick Perry is involved in some sort of conspiracy like:

• Trans-Texas Corridor is a One World Order conspiracy to blur the sovereignty of the US, or
• Perry mandated Gardasil after receiving $6k donation (and $496k under the table) from Merck, or
• Perry doesn't want to stop illegal immigration because Bob Perry Homes needs cheap labor to build subdivisions, or
• Perry is against E-Verify to protect H-E-B Groceries, or
• Rick Perry pilots black helicopters over Austin at night to spy on David Dewherst and Speaker Strausss
• You get the idea.

Any of those accusations earns the poster a $5 fine into the Freepathon kitty

Cain would be okay too, but he’s got issues of his own, like supporting TARP, the 9/9/9 plan, which later may become the 10/10/10, 11/11/11, etc. plan. He’s also said a few things that might be trouble down the road, like saying he wont appoint Muslim to his cabinet or a Catholic who is loyal to the Pope.

Bottom line-we don’t have anywhere close to a “perfect” candidate, but who do have one phony RINO candidate in Romney that has taken far more liberal positions than anything Cain or Perry have ever dreamed of. At this point, a true conservative should be focused on making sure our nominee is NOT Mitt Romney, not because he’s a Mormon, but because he’s a liberal.
