In 2008, John McCain's campaign team discussed whether they should let Sarah Palin be sworn in as vice-president if they were to win the election, according to campaign staffer Nicolle Wallace. "There certainly were discussions -- not for long because of the arc the campaign took -- but certainly there were discussions about whether, if they were to win, it would be appropriate for her to be sworn in," Wallace tells Time's Claire Suddath. In her new novel, It's Classified, Wallace has a character -- a mentally ill female vice-president -- which she says is based on her experience working with Palin.

This is correct. The Vice President doesn't even have to be of the same party as the President. A person can run independently for the office of Vice President and win it if the person can get more electoral college votes than the VP candidate running on some party ticket. Granted, it would very difficult to achieve considering that the party ticket system dominates the election process.
The Constitution says that the electoral college votes for the office of President are counted and confirmed by the Speaker of the House. The Senate counts and confirms the electoral college votes for the office of Vice President. There is nothing about the candidates being from the same political party.
Dont count on that. Hannity is a suck up to anyone with an R next to their name who can mouth the right talking points. He has Wallace on his show alot and as far as I know has never questioned Wallace about these allegations.
I don't care what he did once upon a time, in a far, far away land, he's no hero now.
No character. No class. If it wasn't for Daddy, where would he be?
I'll sit out the next election.
Ditto that!
How can McCain possibly call waterboarding torture, when he lived the real deal. Colonel Bud Day (I think the name is right) has written a great piece about what torture is and is not. He. too, was imprisoned and tortured in Vietnam, and he strongly disagrees with McC. I BELIEVE THEY WERE BOTH IN THE HANOI HIlTON AT THE SAME TIME.
vaudine
If that Romney shill Sean Hannity has Nicole Wallace on his show yet again, to flirt with this despicable bitch and send his regards to her father, he should face a serious boycott.
That Wallace is a real catty woman.
